Jerrold
Alan Kram, MD, FCCP, D-ABSM
Medical Director
Dr Kram is one of the country’s most experienced sleep specialists.
He began his work in the field in 1980, opened the California Center
for Sleep Disorders, CCSD in 1983 and received his Board Certification
in 1989. He graduated with honors from the New York University School
of Medicine and completed his pulmonary fellowship at University
of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Kram brings an inclusive
philosophy to his practice of Sleep Medicine and the running of
CCSD. He is actively engaged in programs to spread sleep expertise
throughout the local medical community and is a featured speaker
in professional and community lectures nationwide. Most recently
he has been appointed Chairman of the AASM Section on Freestanding
Sleep Centers. He maintains an active role in the daily operations
of CCSD and his pulmonary-sleep practice.
Michael
Salemi, RPSGT
General Manager
Michael’s 13 years in the field of Sleep Medicine have included
pioneering work such as The Walla Walla Project, working with Bill
Dement and German Nino-Murcia bringing sleep services and expertise
to physicians in a rural multi-specialty clinic. As Director of
the Sleep Medicine and Neuroscience Institute, he was an early proponent
of computerized polysomnography and home testing. His resume’
also features industry experience such as international clinical
support, diagnostic software design, and product management.
Since joining CCSD, Michael
has focused on implementing new internal data systems, introducing
DME services and developing support programs for our referring physicians.
Germaine
Leger, RPSGT
Clinical Director
Germaine brings a wealth of experience implementing state of the
art diagnostic procedures in a large sleep lab group. Her background
includes 10 years service with St. Jude Sleep Disorders Center in
Fullerton, CA where she worked closely with Rose Ann Zumstein, current
President of the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists (APT).
Germaine’s experience includes development of training programs,
pharmaceutical research coordination and active participation with
the APT.
Germaine’s
new focus at CCSD has been the implementation of monthly continuing
education programs for our staff technologists and expansion of
our patient support services.
Angela Anagnos,
M.D. , is a Neurologist who specializes in Sleep Disorders medicine.
Aamir Ahmed
Faruqui, M.D., is a Pulmonologist who specializes in Sleep Disorders
Medicine
Angela
Angie Escovedo, serves as the day-time Polysomnographic
technologist. You are likely to see her scoring studies, assisting
with our CPAP clinic, or setting up patients on portable equipment.
Cindy
Wong, B.S., MA , is the Medical Assistant for the pulmonary
practice and the front office staff for pulmonary and sleep.
Elizabeth
Wymer, is the Senior Polysomnographic Technologist. It is
highly likely that you’ll be seeing her on Sundays, Mondays and
Tuesday nights performing studies in Oakland.
Elena Kravtsova,
is another polysomnographic technologist. Her background is a Nurse
Anesthetist from St. Petersburg, Russia. You’ll be seeing her on
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday nights in Oakland.
Shamah
Hasan, is the Clinical Administrative Assistant for the
Sleep Disorders Center who handles all of the schduling for the
sleep center.
Ella Lvoff,
is a polysomnographic technologist that performs studies primarily
in our Livermore facility. Her background is a physician specializing
in Radiology from St. Petersburg, Russia. You will likely see her
on Wednesday nights in Livermore.
